Welcome

Welcome to the 4-H Sharpshooters Club 2016-2017 Webpage

We hope you enjoy looking at our website; we have lots of pictures and info you can use to help decide whether to join our 4-H Club or find another 4-H Shooting Sports Club in your area. We, as a club, strive to make a safe and enjoyable experience for all 4-H age children and their parents.

What’s on our Webpage?

Right now you are on our Homepage; here we try to summarize as much info about Shooting Sports as we can to help you make a decision about whether Shooting Sports is right for you. You can come back to the Homepage anytime by clicking the “Home” tab to the left of your screen.

The FAQs page will give you much more detailed info about our 4-H Sharpshooters Club and 4-H Shooting Sports in general. If you have additional questions contact Kevin Goates, Club Manager, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The Documents section is currently under construction. It is still operational but hard to navigate. When the Documents tab is fully operational it will have up-to-date signup sheets for activities that the Club might be attending and/or others that might interest you.

The Calendar is where you can look for all the info you need about when and where all the Clubs activities are happening and to look ahead to see what’s coming in the near future.

The Photo Gallery has lots of pictures: Sharpshooters members, them doing things, events we have attended, activities through the years we have been active and some just plain fun pics.

The Reporter’s Corner has articles written by the current and past Club Reporter(s). The Club Reporter is a member of 4-H and Sharpshooters so he/she is not an adult or parent. He/she takes some of the pictures, updates the Webpage, writes articles to post on the Webpage or send to local Newspaper(s), and organizes Club activities.

The Contact Us tab has up-to-date contact info on our Club Manager, Assistant Club Manager, our coaches, parent volunteers, and places we practice at. The Contact Us tab will also have contact info on all current Club Officers.

Why Shooting Sports?

Approximately 45 percent of the homes in the United States have firearms. Safe and responsible handling of firearms is vital to prevent accidents at home or next door. Shooting is the third most popular international competitive sport behind the combination of track and field and swimming and diving. It is nearly unique in that athletes can remain competitive throughout their lifetimes. Shooting sports attract new audiences to 4-H and create bonds between adults and youth.
